One Man's Journey to NLRBE Part 3

Just a short update... (you will need to have read Parts 1 & 2 Smile )

The lad, Dave, who is starting reading the Orientation Guide has been talking with his boss; Jon (don't want this to develop into a 'soap opera' but... Smile ). Jon is now reading "The commoner's guide to the economy, the environment and everything" by David Geoffrey Lucas. A slightly more gentle intro to TZM! He commented this morning that his girlfriend doesn't beleive that anything much is going to change; I've pointed him to the various graphs around that show public spending and debt going vertical now... and the debt clocks... where do they think it's gonna end?

So word is spreading Smile Jon asked if I was starting a 'movement' ...I responded that I have joined one and want them to do the same!

One of the 'feelings' that I had prior to becoming involved in TZM (does that mean I'm an activist in the making :O ) was that there is likely to be some significant changes to our social structure over the next few years caused by the problems that are becoming all too apparent. The monetary timeline is accelerating. The Euro has been such a success; lets get even more monetary union by making European Central Bank the supervisory authority over financial institutions in the single currency area... mmmmmmmm that'll help!?!

Two things struck me this morning; listening to the BBC Radio 4 on the way to work:

1) There has been a significant rise in shoplifting recently; this has been put down to mothers stealing milk and food to feed their children and people stealing items that can be used as Xmas gifts.
2) 2012 Nobel Prize winner John Gurdon (cloned a frog decades before Dolly the Sheep) was discussing the scientific method of analysis.

With regard to point one; I recalled almost exactly that scenario being posed by PJ in the video I had watched a couple of days ago. In 'my past life' I would have been thinking that they were asking for trouble by shoplifting. I do quite a bit of work in retail and the impact can be significant... but this morning my thought processes have been quite different. In reality how can we be putting people, knowingly, into the position of not being able to feed themselves? ... and the gifts... well with the Xmas advertising campaign in full swing; should we really be surprised; again my thinking is different. I cannot 'un-know' the things that I have been learning over the past few weeks. The world is now a different place and I have a dichotomy; how to live my 'old life' to keep ourselves afloat financially and at the same work toward changing it... interesting!

Point 2; I found it interesting listening to this chap describing how everything he does is empirically analysed.

The upshot of this... I am thinking differently and questioning things that previously would have been unassailable 'truths' and am getting others to do the same!

Thanks to you folks Smile
