Yesterday I was approached by one of the directors of the business that I primarily work with just now. He asked me about 'Zeitgeist'; it had been mentioned to him by Dave (one of my 'projects' ![Smile]( "Smile")
). I was VERY surprised. He is a young lad and I wouldn't have put him as someone interested at all. I spent a couple of hours talking to him; bear in mind that he is paying my hourly rate for this!!
He asked intelligent questions and has asked that I burn a copy of the Culture in Decline videos for him. He's not yet ready for the full ZG movies. So ...another one added to my list!
Today I had a long conversation with one of the other lads (Chris). Asking him why he is so resistant. His reply was that he can't see change occuring. I then ran through the routine of where we are, why we are here and where it is likely to go in the relative short term. Coincidentally; whilst I was talking to him, it was being announced on the news that the UK government had borrowed a further £17.5 billion in Nov. ... £17.5 BILLION !!!! An increase of £1.2 billion on Nov 2011.
That lead very nicely into the discussion. By then end of it he had recognised several facts that he said 'shocked him' he was incredulous at some of what is going on, finding it very difficult to believe. He is suffering from exactly the 'intertia' I suspected; the problem is too big to comprehend, he cannot see that he can affect it. My reply is that he now knows about it, he can't 'un-know' it... it is ostrich syndrome (head in the sand) to now ignore it. He can play a part by being involved, to learn more of what cover-ups are going on. I have shown him both this site and the two groupls on my FB page ...and I've emailed him the "The Commoner's Guide to the Economy"
...he promised that he will watch the movies over the weekend.
Today I have been studying Aquaponics and RepRap... I want to evaluate if I can develop the outline planning for the Billingham Vertical Farm using these ideas; with an objective then of trying to develop plans that could be transplanted into Greece (to help the Potato Movement people)... and to develop the idea of aquaponic kits that could be passed on to others for domestic use.
These are big ideas but... can only try .... but need help???
