I came to the TZMNetwork and joined on 24th November '12... so nearly 3 weeks ago now. I am gradually finding my feet and starting to understand what it is about.
I tripped over these projects (TZM, TVP, NLRBE etc) as a natural progression from having watched Zeitgeist; The Movie four or five weeks ago. It didn't take me very long to realise the potential here and to start to get excited by the potential. What puzzles me; I consider myself reasonably literate, intelligent and worldly, is why and how I had heard nothing of this prior.
My guess is that I, like many other folk, am so involved in the daily activities of surviving in the existing paradigm that there is no time to consider alternatives. My politics have been conservative and so I would not normally gravitate toward communal projects or eco-living or any of the more left-wing enterprises; I apologise if that sounds rather like a bigoted right-wing statement... it is and I was that man. You will hear more of that view in 'my story'![Smile]( "Smile")
I am undergoing something of a transformation and I wanted to share that.
I also wonder if it might help to understand how to get others like me to at least look at this whole thing. There is so much sense here that at least some would become involved and so it will spread.
We need it go viral.
A lot of people have seen the first ZG movie (19 million or so)... and yet there are only 3251 people on here... why? What is it that prevents people from seeing the movie, saying "...yea, its really good!" but doing nothing further? In June this year the number of members was apparently at some 420 and so is going in the right direction but is that quick enough? Quick enough for what?
I know several people who are and have been in that place for a while and I thought that I could intertwine their 'inertia' with my journey; and perhaps shed some light on the issues.
So here I am... I'll write entries to the blog over the coming days that describe me, where I am, where I've been and what brought me to TZM. I would be most interested in your questions or critique![Smile]( "Smile")
